Hi, I am about to start writing my personal statement. However, I'm not sure how to start and what to include in my personal statement. I want to study law, and from what I heard, my PS should be focused on why I want to study law. For those of you who have been through this experience, can you please provide me with information regarding my PS? Thanks

Hello everyone, I was wondering which universities in Europe (apart from the Netherlands and Germany) could potentially accept me with an IB predicted score of 32-35 points (I want to study Business & Management). I was looking for a university in the top 300 (according to the QS world university rankings) to be precise. Cheers, Rxsmc

I have done some research and it seems like the requirements to get into a German university are very high(looking at the points as you need 37-39 minimum). I just wanted to know if it is easier to get into a university in the UK or if German universities appreciate me doing IB.

On Studielink, I have added both my own phone number as "Telephone number" and my father's phone number (just in case) as "Telephone number 2". However, several universities are including the second phone number as my main one, and I can only change my contact details on Studielink. I have deleting the second phone number from Studielink and also making the "Telephone number 2" field the same as "Telephone number", but nothing has worked. I keep saving the changes, but nothing actually changes. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Planning on going to art school but I have no idea what the sufficient grade for this school is?? Like they don't have a required score out of 45. I mean it does mention IB but just states qualifications equivalent to A Levels (e.g. IB)? Does this mean I just need to pass IB? Like a 24 (12 total in HL, no lv2 and no lv 1in SL) will do? This hasn't been the first art school with vague requirements. Could someone elaborate? Thank you so much

Hey, I'm from Kazakhstan and currently in the 11th grade (first DP year) and I started to worry about getting in university just at the beginning of this academic year. I'm interested particularly in Japanese and Korean universities because of the culture of this nations, but.. last year I had GPA ~3.2 and generally can not boast of really high academic achievements. I picked Math, Comp. Science HL and Physics SL and aiming to be a programmer (maybe in software development). Also, I want to know what are the chances of getting full scholarships in both countries. I have spent enough time on the internet but it doesn't really give me the understanding what my chances…

Hi, lots of my friends move to study in UK, USA, Spain or France, but I don't know anyone who decided to continue his education in Germany. Do you have any idea of what is the IB Diploma recognition for German universities? I heard that taking at least one HL science subject is a must. If it turns out to be true I'm really done, because I take Geography, Polish A: Literature and English B HL and Biology, Bussiness management and Maths SL. Could any person living or studing in Germany tell me something about the higher education system? Thanks for the mountain.

So i finished last year the IB with 30 points (29 + 1 for TOK but i lost one point because there was a fraud problem in history HL which was one of my courses so they just put an average on everyone) and i also got the bilingual diploma for english and spanish. With that i wonder which unis or in which countries can i study a humanities degree with this. I am currently taking a german course (currentlu b1) but i doubt i will take the DAF before i must apply to unis if i want to start in april. In any case any help or infor you can give me is appreciated.

Hello, post-IB, I am interested in studying a double major in Computer Science and Economics. Here are my subject choices: HLs: Math Econ Bio English Lang lit SLs: Hebrew B Psychology Would not taking Physics as an HL hurt my chances at getting into a good Computer Science course? I'm not bad at Physics, I just thought that since I am already doing Math HL, I didn't want the physics to be burdensome and hurt my grades in other areas.

It's my first year at IB and I took English, Biology, Chemistry and Geography as HL, but I wasn't good enough on my math test so the teachers assigned me into math studies without any chance to even shift to SL. I was wondering, are there any unis that accept you for having a high level of sciences, but a low level of math? I was researching some stuff and most of it is terrifying for me since they require to have a minimum of SL. I was looking around Western Europe and Canada and I don't know what to do. Please help me ;-;

Hi. I just finished my first year of IB and looking forward to preparing for application to universities during the summer (studying, researching what I need to do). For now, I want to apply to universities in Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, and Japan, in the order of priorities. I want to major computer science (possibly artificial intelligence) in those universities. The problem is that I'm feeling very insecure right now of my grades. Gahhh, I've taken an interest in applying to Irish universities in 2018, and then I see this (I attached the screenshot of the entry requirements page at one of the unis above). What do you guys think? I'm super stressed as it is, and honestly, I am so afraid. Do you think that the change will be positive or negative? With positive, I mean lowering the requirements and making it easier for IB students? I have absolutely no idea what to expect and I keep thinking about it every single day, which makes me incredibly stressed :(( Also, sorry in advance if this is in a wrong section or anything, I have never posted before so I'm a bit unsure about this whole forum…

Hi all! I was just wondering whether someone knows how getting into a Dutch university (especially University of Amsterdam) works. I have obtained a predicted GPA of 38 points and I have applied to a few uni's in Holland with that average. I have applied for political science programs. There seem to be no additional requirements other than passing your exams and having excellent English. I've researched this like hell and searched the depths of the internet and have come to wonder; Do they make me an offer based on these predicted grades (motivational letter, CV etc. in some cases) and then I will not get in only if I do not pass my exams? Meaning that I do not need …

Hello, So since I have been applying to several universities, I have been offered from 3~4 unis. Is it possible to accept all of them, and after the IB final score appears, I choose which one to go? It is because some unis gave me low offer scores like 36~37, while some gave me some high scores like 42~43. I am offered from HKU as fast track, UBC, McGill and KHUST.

Hi guys, I attend a school in Germany that both offers the Abitur system and the IBDP. After the first semester of Abitur, I realized that IB would be better for me so I discussed a switch with my IB coordinator. He said I could either join the IB next semester (2nd semester) after the christmas break or join the IB from scratch next year. NowI want to join as soon as possible and rather not retake the year but in IB, but my coordinator said that without a report for my first semester, I wouldn't be able to study in Germany. To what extent is this true and does this apply to ALL Universities in Germany?? Like can I still use my IB final grade to join certa…

Hi! I currently take the IB diploma program and I am in my second year and planning to apply for Waseda EDESSA School of Political Sciences and Economics, and the Keio PEARL program. I am a senior currently taking the IB diploma and thinking of applying to either Keio GIGA, PEARL or Waseda SPSE. For waseda, although their IB average acceptance score is 37/42, would a score below that average still be enough to make it into Waseda SPSE? Also, although Keio does not have any IB admission related statistics, if anyone knows, what is the average IB score for people who get accepted to Keio PEARL and GIGA? Do they also look at your math level or if you have a bilingual diploma?
