Hey, I am confused that the IA topic I am doing is basically copying. Since I am doing database (thanks to covid-19), I realised that I needed various independent and dependent variables. I could not find a topic and had constant rejections so my sir had given another classmate's alternative topic. I have a feeling that its mostly copying since when my classmate had given me the topic, he/she also gave me a research paper for this as a resource. I'm starting the IBDP next school year and I just submitted my final courses for IB. I chose HL - psych, bio and french b, and SL - math aa, english and chem. Initially when I picked these courses, I was planning on doing Zoology in uni, but now I'm a bit more hesitant on doing Zoology. What major/degree can I get in uni with these IB courses? Hello I'm a new DP 1 student and I started looking for ideas for my EE. I decided to pursue chemistry as my subject and I have a solid topic in mind, but it's not wide enough. I'm going to investigate differents cuts of meat of different ages and I'll compare the values of protein and fats in each. What can I do else? And how can I make this a proper topic? Hi there! I'm currently doing pre-IB and it's time for me to choose subjects for DP. I want to take bio HL for sure, but only recently it hit me there's a chance I'll be needing chemistry to major in some bio stuff in the future...The thing is, I never really paid attention in chem class I was convinced I won't be taking it as a subject. It's not like I'm really bad at it, I just can't imagine taking chem HL :''') I don't know which uni will I choose, I don't want to major in medicine that's for sure. Hey guys! I just started IB1 and i’m having my mock exams soon. I’m finding IB hard (Because im not naturally intelligent) and I keep doubting myself. So many people in my school are redoing IB1 and I’m scared to see myself in that situation. The subjects i’m taking are quite difficult. HL Chem & SL maths AA especially my question is, suppose I dont get the requirements needed to be promoted to IB2, Will I be forced to redo IB1 or will i have the opportunity to resit some exams and do extra work during the summer?

Hey!! I'm starting IB in less than a month and I already chose my subjects because I wanted to major in Psychology. However, I am now leaning towards veterinary science. At first, I chose bio SL. To be a vet, I first need to have a bachelor degree in Biological Science. The uni I plan on going does not require chem. But, if I do major in biological science, there will be some chem classes. I am for sure taking Bio but I am not sure if I should move it to HL and add Chem SL. My question here is how hard is BIO HL compared to BIO SL? (I'm interested in bio) Will chem SL help me in uni

hey guys, I am planning on doing my chem IA on different catalysts impact on the rate of reaction of decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. I was planning on measuring this rate of reaction with gas pressure ( with gas pressure sensors). My different catalysts are manganese dioxide, Potassium iodide, catalase, iron dioxide and lead oxide. So 3 transitional metal catalysts, one ionic compound and one organic compound as my catalyst. So I started my DP in September and now it's December. My HLs are physics chemistry math and English and SLs are business and french. i was going to planning to go into a engineering direction but now I'm definite to go towards architecture but I realised that I need a portfolio of at least 12 pieces. its been 3 months into the programme and the art students have already done 2 pieces and 2 essays and I'm not too sure I'll be able to catch up. Is it too late to try and change??? SOS 😩😩

Hi, Throughout my Chem EE (APA citation), I'm using different pieces of information from the same page in the same website. So I have the same in-text citation whenever I use the website's info (which is fine, I think, because there are a lot of other citations in between), but in the bibliography, I have the same citation repeated four times. HELP! I've just started Junior year, so IB has just kicked off and we have 2 weeks to change our courses if we wish. I have always been sure that I want to do 2 Sciences, first I picked Bio and Chem (both HL), then I changed my mind so I decided to do Bio and Phy (HL) because I've always loved physics. But now I am starting to change my mind again, because I've read that Bio and Phy aren't the best combination and I feel like with those classes my college majors all of a sudden gets way more limited. Help! Should I stay in Physics or change back to Chem??

Hello, I am finding it difficult to decide which science subjects to choose and would appreciate some help and guidance. First of all, I am not entirely sure what I want to study in the future (perhaps economics, although the sciences really interest me too). That being said, I am sure about studying in the US. I have done a summer course in IB biology (also math which I am fairly well at), also had a brief look at the content that appears in IB physics. I have no prior background in chemistry however.
