I am tasked with writing a math IA for Math Studies, but I have no idea what to write on. Our teacher is heavily leaning on the class to either write about a topic that uses Chi Squared testing or Linear Regression as our higher math process, but I don't know what to choose. I've always been bad with coming up with writing topics, but this one has me totally lost. What are some good topics to write on?

Hi! I take math studies, indicating that I absolutely don't want to study anything that has to do with math after graduating from the IB. However, I'm considering to apply to the US so I want to do the "standard" SAT tests (math & English). Some people say that the math is way too hard for math studies students to manage, while others say that the math is simple enough for basically anyone to get a good grade in. Does anyone have any experience with SATs? Can you get a good score even if you're in math studies? Help pleaseee!

Hello, I'm writing a simple math paper for my Math Studies class and I'm in need for some data, I need 100 pieces of data at least. My paper is on determining wether speaking more than one language influences someone's memory capacity (Does it make them remember things clearly?) and so I'll compare that to people who only speak one language. hello, I just have a quick question about my ia hypothesis question, I want to know if its testable for ibo. I've gone through a series of questions already and would hate to have to start over because my questions isn't up to ibo standards or isn't testable. topic question: DID THE HOUSE MARKET CRASH OF 2006-2011 AFFECT THE US ECONOMY? or maybe DOES THE CRASH OF THE HOUSE MARKET AFFECT AN ECONOMY? Hi guys, so I'm in the middle of a dilemma right now. In university, I plan on going into animation. The problem is, I don't know whether to stay in SL Math or to drop to Math Studies. I don't think I'll need Math SL, but I've heard that universities in Europe tend to not count Studies as a subject.. So should I stay with Math SL or drop to Studies?

The university of Toronto website says that I can't get in if I do Math studies, even though I want to apply to do a bachelor in Arts. Is there any way they might overlook it, particularly because I have no interest in a math related major and my actual predicted score is decent. Hey guys! So I've been trying to make up my mind on whether to switch to Math Studies from SL. Math has ALWAYS been a struggle for me. I've had Math SL since IB1 and have continued with it in IB2; however, my grade has been constantly a 2, close to failing, but I've just passed my Mocks (basically by taking advantage of method-points.) Anyway, so the student counselor said it might be a risk for me to take the Math SL final exam what with my grade being a 2. Hi! Here's an overview of my math studies IA, My question is "Do the heights of high school students follow a normal distribution?" I gathered the heights of about 90 students, grouped them together in a frequency table then I will draw a histogram, calculate the percentages of the standard deviations and compare them to those of a normal distribution. Finally, I will also use a chi-squared test to see if my data satisfies a normal distribution. Would that be enough? Are there any OTHER mathematical statistical tools I could use in my IA? Or any way I can incorporate a graph into this?

I'm about to start by IB course in a month yet I'm keep doubting my options!! I am really at loss for what HLs to take. Hello, I'm currently doing my IA for Math Studies and in the process of collecting the data. My Math IA is only for IB students so It's a little more difficult to collect sufficient data, so I need as many responses as possible. Those who are IB students either DP1 (otherwise known as Year 12 / Grade 11) or DP2 (otherwise known as Year 13 / Grade 12) are able to complete this survey. Those doing the full IB are able to complete it, but those doing Certificate need to be doing 6 IB courses to be able to do it. Hi fellow IB students So I have started the first year of IB two months ago and I've been taking Mathematical Studies. However, I like maths and I've started wondering recently whether I couldn't switch to SL (although I don't need for the university courses I have chosen).
