arigiz
Like Water for ChocolateJane Eyre-- why is this book so long? I was literally skipping over large paragraphs while reading it because it was so redundant Reply

SeniorStatus14
Julius Caeser in 10th grade and the Awakening in 10th grade! YUCK! I didn't even get halfway through The Awakening before I stopped reading!Right now our summmer English assignment is to blog about the book "Their Eyes were Watching God" and I'm not too thrilled about it. The language used in the book takes forever to read! Reply
Blackcurrant
War and Peace - Tolstoy. A great novel, but not to plough through! 1 Reply
Ms.Blackford
The worst novels I have ever read were in pre-DP."Svinalängorna" by Susanna Alakoski (in Swedish) - A disgusting book about a poor, finnish, white trash family moving to Sweden. Now, Ugh, LOW CULTURE BOOK! and "Paddy Clarke, HA HA HA"by Roddy Doyle. That book was just Irish. And boring. Reply
MainRostand
A couple of years ago I absolutely hated "Hatchet"... Ugh, I fell asleep reading it and I just couldnt go on... Had to read all the summaries on the internet. Reply
mm8888
huckleberry finn was awful I read the whole thing since what my teacher asked was soooo picky that I failed the exams when I only used sparknotes Reply
J. Gibbs
Well, I seriously hated Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. It was literally the most boring book ever. Reply
Jenny Hedberg
The Tin Drum by Gunter Grass... The worst thing was that I specifically asked my teacher for a more challenging book. I didn't mean challenging in that way you know; the protagonist has the only personality in the world that I just can't stand. Reply
r1111
Catcher in the Rye. What a terrible and boring book. I really hated it. 1 Reply
OTreptow
I read The Scarlet Letter in Pre-IB (10th grade) and it was absolutely awful Reply
Ryoika
Perfume Everyone in my class loves that book, and I do not like it. I don't "hate" it though.. except for Twilight and a few moreI don't think I have ever "hated" a novel. In the other way, I actually like Hamsun's "Hunger" but everyone else hates that book. I did not really like the lack of "personality" and "soul" within the main character, Greouille. But I loved the book's theme though. It's still an awesome book.
