Kira Meagher
Within year 11, there is roughly 70 IB students. Year 12? I'd estimate 40 or 50. This is alongside the Australia's capital system. Each individual class (Spanish, math ect.) has at least a group of IB kids. And, each world literature class is purely IB students. Yilan Yuan
IB is getting more popular these recent years at our school. There's about 20 out of 200 in IB2 this year, and around 40 in IB1 (my year level). It's not that great sometimes, the other more popular education system at our school is the VCE and those kids get a lot less work, when we have TOK they just go home and relax.. And sometimes we stay back afterschool for one more period... Plus there's the EE and CAS to worry about. BUT I guess as a smaller cohort we really stay together and support eachother through these two years, most IB kids at our school I'd say are much more hard working, so it's good to actually have this atmosphere where we're willing to study and get good grades (positive influences haha). Whereas the VCE kids they generally compete against eachother (there's a ranking system for VCE) which is not that great, means you can't share notes etc. and not all of the VCE students are really taking the system seriously.. So yeaaaa IB is great! In the end everything will be worth it so work hard and don't feel sad about only having 2 IBers. it's great that there's atleast one other person in your class doing IB just like you Reply

IctEcon
IB2 is about 80 students and about 90 in IB1but with popular courses (like Chem SL) it can get really crowded and quite annoying with so many people together Reply
mechnight
We're 31 or 32 in IB2, same with IB1. On a sidenote, my school doesn't offer just courses, either you bite the whole thing or not. Reply
