aphan9
Many of you have few people in your classes. I see that you are from other countries. I go to school in Florida, USA. I have so many people in my class, I don't think I would be able to keep track. But to give u some hints as to how many people, I have around 20-22 people in my Math HL class. I also want to know what are some advantages/disadvantages in having small classes. I wish I had a small class. And don't let me get this wrong, but you guys are talking about the number of students in one class, right? Thomas
You all have so small classes! I would love that - I feel I learn better then. But we are only 7 people doing History HL, so in some history lessons we are only 7 students Love it! Reply
Aboud
7 students is a "normal" class at our school !, the biggest class is ITGS and TOK all of us are there about 13, the smallest is Arabic A1 SL, it consists of ONE student... which is me B) , nd ya small classes are better for learning... cixelsyD
I've got around 16 ppl in each of my classes but that includes both SL and HL students.. there are generally more HL students than SL students, but the ratios are pretty much an even 8/8 or 10/6 Reply
Bandev
And don't let me get this wrong, but you guys are talking about the number of students in one class, right?Mine aren't, they are the cumulative. My largest class is 15 (spanish) and my smallest class is 9(geography). The smallest out of all classes is 2 (german). Reply
Ruan Chun Xian
Oh right yeah we have HL and SL classes together. Like there's a HL&SL maths class (6 people) then there's a Studies class (1 person - I felt sorry for him, being by himself the whole year. But the teacher was a lot nice to him for it. She's got a reputation to be strict. ) We also had French B and Ab together. Then the A1 classes that wasn't English they had private tutors (who weren't teachers in the school) come in to teach them. Reply
shotaway
We have too many! Especially English A1, it's almost the whole IB class. Biology's not bad though, it's full of girls and a handful of boys who sit at the back and complain and then fall asleep. History's also full, as is Chem. Our IB class in itself is pretty large, which is too bad. Reply

Guest julz_90
it's quite complicated: ours is a public school (i.e. it is free...) I think there aren't many public schools offering IB... however, we have 25 students per year taking IB, and they are all in the same class all the time. Therefore, we don't have much choice... all of us had to take HL english A2 and german A1 and SL geography. We could decide whether to take maths HL or SL and biology HL or SL, and whether to take latin, italian B or french A2 a 6th subject. it's a big mess but it ended up this way: german, english, geography and biology SL always 25 students latin SL 6 students maths HL 4 students, but we take half of the lessons with the SL people (and then we are 25) hope I managed to explain it somehow... I know that our system is strange, but we do IB and the swiss matura at the same time. a damn lot of work... Reply
Guest hubbz
it's quite complicated: ours is a public school (i.e. it is free...)Hey julz_90!My school operates in the same way, our schedual is so complicated its not even funny, i am still to this day amazed how they integrated it into our regular timetable. For classes :History HL = 16English A1 HL = 15Math SL = 15Biologie SL = 6French B HL = 8Chemistry (HL & SL ) = 5 HL, 8 SL [im in SL] Reply
Guest AmeHoshi
Wow. My entire IB Senior class is 34 students, and we're ALL in the same classes for 3 periods in a row. Only about 5 of the IB seniors are HL, the rest are either SL or math studies. Haven't counted those. ^^;;The only class that I take that doesn't have as many IB students is French IB: only... 6 of us. Reply
