ivy12003
well the amount of people in the class vary each year but we only have at max one or two candidates who don't receive the diploma, so about 95% Reply

ivy12003
We're the first class at my school, which scares me, because we're kind of the "guinea pigs" for choosing teachers.I expect ours to probably be around 80%...Actually, there was one year where a Singapore school, being in their first year, had 9 out of 20 worldwide graduates receive a 45 out of 45 on their diploma. But Singapore has a very tough education system. Reply
lindieeluieee
Something like 95-99%. Varies from year to year. The worst I think was one year when 3 students failed. Reply
hermine0817
Wow.... all your schools seem so amazing! I'm the fourth generation of IBers in our school and it wasn't that good so far. (But I suppose that's also because we are kinda new.) The best IB grade so far in our school was 39 points and the passing rate? hmm.... something above 60 or 70%? Ashika
6th class to go through IB and I think there's always only 1 person who doesn't get the diploma. Reply
ezex
I'm beginning to think our school kinda sucks...up to this year cause its the year my class graduates Two years ago the passin rate was 49/90 and last year was something like 75/150 or less, lol. This year I think it'll go up to like 120/160 or maybe more because the first two classes were much different than us. Still very few people actually care about gettin the diploma cause it doesn't really help for anything. Most of the other 50% of the ones who failed IB last year ended up in UF, the best college in the state and pretty good countrywide. I have to admit I don't realy care whether I get the diplomma or not...sorry but the truth is that for US colleges it doesn't exactly matter. IBSQUARED
Our school has ~200 IB students per year and very few don't get a diploma, although they do receive the certificate (which requires no EE) Edited December 29, 2008 by IBSQUARED Reply
Vvi
My class has 12 students this year, 7 of us are doing Diploma and 5 aren't. There are always few people who don't get the diploma coz they just suck at school in general. Someone 2 years ago got 24 points, but failed because he didn't have 12 points at HL.I don't have an official number, since our school hasn't told us (which probably means it's not that great) and when we ask the people who graduated before us what they got, they never want to tell us. Our Math teacher told us that it's worse than the world's average.Highest score ever was 41, and we have some smart people that have gone to St. Andrews, Yale and MIT. Our school isn't selective with students (most international schools I know aren't), so that explains it. Forester
around 95% pass rate. 2% get 45 (1 each year). score of 40 or more: 24%. subject score of 7: 23%.Our school is international, not selective for international students, selective for locals. Jes_2010
Were the first class. But so far we've had two students drop from Diploma to certificate students. And about four more students are dropping at the end of the year. Leaving us with only 7 students in the program. Reply
Aliquantus
Before last year's exam one student had failed - ever. My school has offered the IB eight years or so. Last year, however, seven(!) in a class of thirty failed to get their diploma. Reply
Capa
My school is doing IB for the first time ever! so the record is 100%... or 0% Reply
CommeDesEnfants
I think it's usually pretty good at my school: diploma students range from 25-30, and generally only 2 or 3 don't receive the diploma. Reply
