Survivor Rob
Well i thought seeming as there is a best subject thread, we should have a worst subject thread! :0 Well I know its annoying but everyone must have a subject they hate/are bad at? My worst subject has to be French, but i'm getting better all the time! Or so my teacher says I really do think i am in reach of a 6 now...yay! I just need to concentrate on the other 5 subjects now too..... Reply
~Lc~
hmm worst subject... I liked most of mine except math HL which I dropped and bio SL which I also dropped I think it was Arabic B, simply because I didn't like thinking in Arabic, it bored me to death! Caitlin
History. It's the only one I just can't quite get the hang of. Probably because it involves a lot of reading, which takes time, which would involve actual effort. Eh. Reply
Bandev
my worst subject is english, however my least favourite subject is most definitely Maths. Reply

Ruan Chun Xian
Math HL!!!. its simply maddening to put a piece of mind to it. Im now in the senior year and yet havnt got more than a 5. the most vexing subjects of all!!!.. :diablo: don't worry, I never got more than a 5 either, except on this 1 test on matrices (dead easy) and on vectors (also easy IMO). So yeah, Maths would be my worst subject. Well, Maths and Physics. I hated Physics. I was blackmailed/coerced/forced/betrayed into taking it. Maths at least sometimes I can do, Physics I was just clueless in. The irony is of course, I got a 6. At SL. Reply

Guest shanelee
Since I completed French B SL last May, it must be English A1 HL Reply
salivattack
English A1 - my worst subject. I find having to invest the most work yet not possible to get grade '7' in English A1 and my least favourite subject. Reply
winter
French... or maybe Chem... possibly Psych... One of those three.Probably Chemistry. However, by exams, I expect the worst to be French, because I will, *will* revise/learn the syllabus. Reply
aphan9
my worst is history and spanishi hate them both, and i think they are uselses Reply
Guest croixvee
i really Hate English A1 HL! ugh. Reply
winter
my worst is history and spanishi hate them both, and i think they are uselsesWhat about either of those is useless? I personally see math as more useless - I doubt that I'll ever need hyperbolas or the unit circle. History is all about learning and practicing analysis, what happened, why it went wrong. We need to be able to learn things from history and apply them today. For example, we've learned that we need to equip boats with enough lifeboats or lifejackets/PFDs for everyone. Learning a language is meant to help with logical processes, such as mathematics, physics, and some chemistry. It also engages many areas of the brain, thereby 'exercising' them - using your brain strengthens and forges 'links' which make it work better. I can go into detail, but as you're not a psych student (it would seem? G6?) I think I'd leave you trying to figure out what I was on about. Guest twist_boy18
OMG Physics is horribleee!!, i mean i've always like physics but IB physics its just annoying, why do they want us to think too much about a problem, besides my profesor its so stupid, he always get confused Reply
Guest AirRon23
IB Spanish HL whyyyy? I think I'm just not much of a language guy. The teacher makes funny jokes and stuff in spanish and im left one of the 4 people not laughing, at which point everybody has to explain it... and reaffirm the fact that i still suck. In calculus, it is more thinking and analyzing problems instead of number crunching and computing answers. We use math everyday of our lives, like buying things, cooking, and paying bills. I know these examples are simple, and deal with simple math, however its like your perception of history somewhat. There are some applications of hyperbolas, such as cooling towers of nuclear plants, some types of gears transmissions, and also some buildings.Sorry that i made spanish seem like it was "useless". I would like be very fluent in spanish; however, it is very hard for me to learn because it is my third language that I'm learning. Reply

Poor you!I agree with you regarding math - just that it takes a more specialised career (engineering, for example) to find use in this 'complex' math. Definitely, though, I use it every day (can't say I'm a fan of whipping out a calculator in the supermarket que!) Reply
