Popular Post CkyBlue
There's less than a month left until we're finished, and at this point I'd like to offer and extend my congratulations to those who've made it this far. And I can say I've had it only more or less as bad as you have. I hope you have taken some time to congratulate yourselves, but not too much! The end of our perilous journey is near, but no less challenging. We've braved through things we thought were hell, done things that didn't make sense, and stayed up those nights that we thought we didn't. Worked like hell, swore through assignments, petrified by unconverted marks, bled through each page of an A1 reading we detested. But no, you didn't let that keep you down; you have trekked through things that you would never have even thought of doing, and have even written a goddamn CAS reflection on it sometimes too! The sweet taste of freedom is just around the corner, all we have to do is just do what we've been doing for around 20 months or so- (I don't know what you do, but somehow, I've been doing something [probably die a little bit each day] so that I haven't dropped out yet, so just keep doing it!) You have felt how amazing it is from finishing a math portfolio to completing your last science IA; now that will pale in comparison when you finish that last exam! Most of us are probably hyped for post secondary, whether it's apprenticeship, college, university, travel, whatever. These crap-filled exams are the last things in our way; finally, it's time to show these IB examiners (from hell) what we're made of of what we're made! Hopefully, you've started to make time to study. If you haven't, (like me) then I hope you're meeting your goals then! Anything worth doing is worth doing well The day where we stagger out of the classroom, finishing our last exam, laughing, half crying hysterically, unbelievably accepting the end is nigh. These are our last days; even I can't believe it; it's really going to be all over. When exam session comes, I encourage everyone to get some sleep the day before and have some protein; and try not to cram! Try not to put any pressure on yourself, and don't compare yourself to anyone else! You can only do the best you can; don't expect more from yourself that way. By the end you'll be so happy you'd want to punch a baby feel like you've conquered everything! Great things happen to great people! As the IB chapter of your life begins to close, a new, awaits you in the next. I hope things will get better for everyone from here! You should be proud of your accomplishments. I hope the IBS community has served you well. We are always welcoming alumni to help out the fresh new-born dying souls who've been conscripted into the IB programme -just like you have- and give them a hand! Good luck everyone! -Capt'n Marth 21 Reply

opus92fan
It seems almost surreal that the end is near. I mean, what am I going to do with all this free time? What is free time? I can't believe I made it this far. 1 Reply

Guest
Ugh. I feel like saying something Awe inspiring and humorous right now, But I have math to do and german vocab to learn. This is the point in our lives when the 20 of us IB students I look at our other 80 classmates who are out partying(since their exams are over) and realize that yes, the grass IS greener on the other side..... Oh well at least I got into colleges they couldn't. Reply

miso soup
i almost cried. but I have to continue to study for bio ;_; but I joined IB by accident, but looking back, i don't regret it. I'm actually going to miss it- especially the people i have grown so close to over the last 4 years. all the complaining, all the hard work, the joys, the sweat, and the cramming! it's been one hell of a ride, and i plan to go out with a bang. 1 Reply

Capricious
To modify a quote by one Sir Winston L. S. Churchill:"I am ready to meet my marker. Whether my marker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter." 2 Reply
marauder7
Your words were truly inspirational!! We have done a LOT of work, and we "just" have our exams left. One part of me wants May 18 (the day of my last exam) to come as fast as possible. Another part of me is sad because High School is almost over. We have just one week of classes left. Then I will miss my friends, IB jokes.... and even my teachers. It is nice to know that many people around the world feel the same way I do Reply

Allyssa
I am honestly going to miss doing the IB. I'm really relieved that all the coursework is done and all that is left are the exams... in five days. But IB has taught me so much, helped me mature in so many ways and CAS has given me so many opportunities to pick up new skills and try out new things, gave me experiences I may not have so easily gotten elsewhere. I can't wait to finish on the 17th of May. That amazing feeling that I'll get when time is up, I put my pen down, Spanish papers get taken in and I leave the exam hall... free. But at the same time, look back on the past two years and be so proud of myself and fellow IBers who have taken on the IB, persevered and got through it, doing their best in exams and now off to university We've done so much, accomplished so much. We oughta be damn proud of ourselves, haha Good luck to everyone taking the exams. Reply

apple.toronto
Damn it, so close yet so far. I really feel like I haven't put nearly enough work as I should've into my exams, so I hope I do okay. I feel the same... Exams starting tomorrow, and I'm still trying to learn things let alone revising them Ditto. I agree, had so many lightbulb moments while doing past paper 2s for math, mixed feeling of shame and happiness that I FINALLY (after almost 1.5 years), get something. On that note, so scared for English tomorrow (I hate commentaries. :/) All the best for tomorrow everyone! Reply

On that note, so scared for English tomorrow (I hate commentaries. :/) All the best for tomorrow everyone! No English will be fine... Philosophy on the other hand, I'm fine with ethics and the core theme should be no problem, it's just philosophy of religion and paper 2 I will die on, paper 3 should be a walk in the park, and Maths shouldn't be too hard... Get a good nights sleep and do not revise anything for 30 mins before the beginning of an exam, use those 30 mins to try to relax, because if you cram then, then thats the only thing you'll be able to think of for the entire exam, and more likely to fail... Good luck Reply
