Clause
Yeah, I see the date on the last post. How old is too old?.-.English, Mandarin, and a dialect of Min Chinese that resembles Japanese almost too closely is it just me huh whatI'd like to say I'm fluent in another language, but I just read... So, I study Swedish, Japanese, French and Klingon. You guys count Klingon?I grew up speaking that one dialect and reading/writing/speaking Mandarin (and, of course, loving English in addition to doing all of the above in it)French just kinda happened back when I started in MYP, and I grew to like its complexity for whatever reason, so I started reading more of it on my own time. Swedish... don't even know what happened, but something about written Swedish appealed to me even more than written Japanese, and I started to read a lot more of that, as well. Also, I've a few friends/family in Sweden and a few friends over here who speak the similar Norwegian norwegians are everywhere It's been fun, to say the least.I supposedly have a "gift" for acquiring new languages, but, really, I just like the stuff a lot. When you spend hours each day staring at text, it's a given that, eventually, you become good at decoding it--and silly conversations with friends can be just as memorable as the most ridiculous TPRS story.I'm not sure if it's been the languages I love to see or the subjects I've taken an interest in that had me reading all the time, lol my pet name is Nerdy Edited January 19, 2014 by Clause Reply

I'm currently learning Arabic as a CAS activity and I can read and understand most French (although I lack the most in vocabulary). I'm set to start my French B course in a week.
