Tony Stark
Well, according to the IBO French B SL is designed for individuals with 3 years' worth of experience in the language, so you should be fine. Reply
Summer Glau
It's not enough just to know different tenses, it's actually pretty useless to know them all unless you know how to use them correctly. If you can master the basic tenses, it's much more impressive than trying to use more complex tenses, botching them, and making the examiner go "what on earth is he/she saying?" IB focuses more on writing and speaking rather than rote memorization.Difficulty of French depends on your experience with the language and your teacher, nothing else. The more experience you have, the easier it is. Reply
HardHead
I didnt mean it like that at all, yeah, I am able to speak and write, sometimes writing I need a dictionary, is that allowed on exams? Reply
victorias
Dictionary is not allowed on the exams, but I think you will get used to not use a dictionary on the exam. French B is not that difficult really, as long as you practice on writting paper 1 and 2... Reply
Entreri
You'll be expected to be able to write a 250-500 word 'essay' for your exams and most likely your assignments. Speaking isn't too terrible, as long as you can do it already and you're comfortable around your teacher (helps a lot!).I found French went pretty well, but I haven't received my mark yet (exam written in May 2012) Reply
