IloveIB!
hey guys, do you think it's okay to put 'blogging' as part of my creativity / CAS activities in general ??!? Reply
Sandwich
I don't think it would have be allowed by my CAS Coordinator and that's the person who ultimately says "yes/no" to your CAS activities, so I strongly suggest you ask them. People here will be able to give you the opinions of their own CAS Coordinators, but not yours Reply
Mozz
I'm wondering the same thing and will be asking my CAS Coordinator tomorrow - however maybe the subject on which you choose to blog on impacts upon their decision? Reply
flinquinnster
Well, a friend and I (both IB) wanted to do a blog as a "group project" for Creativity/Service (writing with an "awareness" focus). To be honest, it was a little shifty from the outset, and our co-ordinator pretty much said no to using it as a group project. However, the impression I got was that blogging is acceptable for creativity, just make sure that your updates are regular and somewhat meaningful. Obviously, the best idea is to go and ask your co-ordinator whether you can use it as creativity hours! Reply
cookie.dough.love
well it depends on what you blog about really, if you blog about something that falls under the creavitivity category, then it could be considered as creativity. Talk to your CAS coordiantor for some advice Reply
Lydia
You'll have to talk about your IB Coordinator or whoever's in charge of making decisions regarding CAS hours. I'm 99% sure that blogging cannot count in my school Reply
MariusIBDP
Well, we have a blog of CAS activities done by current IB students and if you write an article there, you get CAS hours. If your blog was similar, you should get CAS hours. Besides that, I think your blog should be meaningful or related to arts - if you posted how to videos or poems, you should probably get CAS hours.Anyway, as it was mentioned before for 5-6 times - ask your coordinator Reply
White94
They should give you Creativity for it, but it might have meet certain requirements. Reply
