MR.AHM
You need to finish at least 150 hours evenly spread through C,A and SYou also need to do a CAS project and you need to continue doing this for 18 months even if you finished 150 hours Reply
dessskris
actually you also need to fulfill 8 learning outcomes (which I heard is more important than the 150 hours requirement).I heard the new syllabus for 2013 has changed though, it's about doing CAS for 18 months or something like that. I'm not very sure which requirement is more important. Edited September 2, 2011 by Desy Glau Reply
aldld
If I recall correctly, I believe they changed it to doing a certain number of hours (I think it was like 3-4) per week of CAS. Reply
khalid
The requirements are basically are :-1) Fulfill the 8 learning outcomes2) A CAS project which you do usually in the first year, which involves two of (Creativity, Service and action)3) A minimum of 150 hours evenly spread Edited November 11, 2011 by khalid Reply
nametaken
As far as I know, I don't have hours. I just have to do as many activities relating to the three aspects of CAS as I can, and my CAS co-ordinator ultimately decides if its enough or not. Bit unfair, but oh well. Angel M.
Our School threw away the 150 hours and said just do the requirements. Reply
carpediem
My school says we have to fulfill the 8 requirements (and have to fulfill each one at least once) as well as do CAS activities for 18 months, with an international service and an activity with a combination of CAS.There is a benchmark for the no. of hours per activity (15 hours), but that isn't as important as the 8 outcomes.
