rhaldud
Hi,I have another question about the IOPs... What exactly can we do and cannot do? For example, is it alright if we have a powerpoint or any sort of visual aid? Would a video from youtube (only about 10-15 seconds long) be alright as an opener? Also, how long are the orals and how are they divided up by?Thank you very much for your help! I am quite helpless... =( Reply
dudeinabox
Yes, I believe that according to IB you can use anything you'd like that may help in the deliverance of your messageHowever, with that being said I'd ask your teacher what she's okay and not okay with for IOP presentations.Although it is technically OK to use a powerpoint, my teacher advises strongly against it and sometimes even docks marksbecause of the 'clumsiness' and 'time consuming nature' of setting up a powerpoint... So make sure first before you do anything! Reply
JustAnotherAsian
dont do this because they arent marking your presentation, but communication and you only have 3-5 minutes Reply
Summer Glau
A visual is helpful if you want to display quotations, etc so that everyone can see them. Try not to rely on your visual too much though, your literary analysis should have a stronger presence. Reply
