Vvi
The number without the zeros, like 1022, is for the school. The part after the dash, 001 or 002, etc. is your own number. On the IB exam papers, there are spaces for 9 numbers. Which means you have to put the two zeros in as well. I would put the two zeros before your candidate number on all IA's and your EE. gaggia
On exams + ib forms we do as viivi said, but on cover sheets of official essays we've been writing 0571 for the school code -- a bit of a compromise between 571 and 000571 I suppose! deissi
For school codes, use four digits. For candidate codes, use three digits: Examples: 1042-001 0572-026 0072-124 The number of IB schools is still in the thousands, so there's no need for more than four digits. Less than four digits might cause confusion, though. Reply

LinuxBeta
Oh wow, I totally forgot about that dash in my EE. I guess what I have is a bunch of numbers =P. Whatever, it's still understandable. And on my French IOC I forgot the 0 before my number...so I said like 20 instead of 020. Meh. Reply
