My topic is based on slavery to the civil war with the abolitionist John Brown. I have been spending countless nights trying to come up a good research question to start my Plan of Investigation. I am happily open for opinions or tips to make my question better. "TWE is John Brown considered a martyr other than a criminal?" A way to solve that would be omit the "other than a criminal" bit.Also, I think that your question is broad. I would suggest that you pick an aspect of John Brown's life and discuss it a factor in making him a martyr. Whether you reference the specifics in the question or in part A is up to you.
