SilenceInTheTrees
We read both A Doll's House and Death of a Salesman. A Doll's House was pretty awesome though. Wrote my essay on the role of Dr. Rank. I love/hate Death of a Salesman because it makes me rethink my life and everything everyone is striving to achieve.... In the end we're all a dime in a dozen... Depressing if you ask me. But yeah it's still really relevant today. 1 Reply

Schrodinger's CAS
We just finished reading A Doll's House. I'm considering doing my WIT essay on it, probably on the concept of "freedom". Reply
ashg98
Hi, We read 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' and 'A Doll's House'. But I haven't prepared notes for English Lang. & Lit Paper 2. It would be very nice if you share your notes with me Looking forward for help! Thank You! Reply
Ditteee
I read a Doll's House in Danish. I liked it a lot - a few of us are actually going in to watch a modernisation of the play that is an intimate version, only the actors and 5-8 people as the audience all in a camper. Looking forward to it so much! Reply
Amina Huseynli
I am planning to write my mock Written Assignment on Doll's House. As a title I want to choose this: "What is the attitude of the writer towards the characters Nora and Torvald?" Any comments/suggestions to this? I'll be very glad if you write your ideas about this. BTW, I'm not doing this in English -- rather in Azerbaijani (Lang A) Reply
gohgy
My class just started Death of a Salesman. Pretty interesting but it`s depressing how hard work doesn't pay off sometimes. Reply

Captain
I completed my IOP on Death of Salesman in the last term. It was my favorite out of all the books we read. (they were Death of a salesman, Great Gatsby and some poems) Reply

(if you don't mind sharing). I was also going to write my Works in Translation essay on Dr Rank but then a couple of teachers advised me against it as they thought it would be too hard to write on his "cameo" role... Also if anyone could possibly help me construct an essay question for "A Doll's House" (Henrik Ibsen), that would be really appreciated! My ideas are so far based on the relationship between Nora and Torvald in contrast to Krogstad and Christene and how the latter end up "winning" in the play and how Nora and Torvald's marriage comes to an end. However I don't really know what an essay question could be for this topic area! I'm not even sure if it is a good topic to write about...(I only have 1500 words!) I just really don't want to write about gender roles because seems like everyone does that for this play. Thank you in advance for any replies!
