ibstudent321
HiSo I did not take gcse economics but am planning to pursue IB economics next year. My school does the gcse + ib system, but the MYP program which is usually done in preparation for IB does not contain economics. So if I am to self study the course to familiarise myself with the subject over summer would it be more sensible to study from the gcse or ib textbook? Thanks! paul34
I hadnt done any economics and was really ignorant to what the course entails and it has been fairly easy so you should be fine with no preparation prior. Message me if you have any more questions 1 Reply
RevolutionToast
I haven't used the GCSE Economics book and so I'm not entirely sure if I'm the right one to comment on it. I just got done with the Microeconomics part of Economics and I can honestly say that the book has been a great help and just by following it, i've been able to get a consistent 6. Granted that I've got a good Economics teacher, but if you're planning to self-study Economics over this summer, I would personally recommend the IB textbook. r1111
Economics for the IB Diploma (Tragakes) textbook will be really useful. Also if you want to self-study then check out some of the videos in this site: http://www.econclassroom.com Don't worry too much about economics 1 Reply
