laurawhite
Hey, does anyone have any good recommendations for French books to read (IB HL standard)? Thanks Reply
under-cover
Le livre que je lis en ce moment s'appelle "No et Moi" et je le trouve assez bien (mais je l'ai pas encore fini). En fait, ma prof m'a donné une liste de livres qu'elle a recommandé pour niveau supérieur:-Molla, Jean; Sobidor-Barbery, Muriel; L'élégance du Hérisson-N'Daye, Marie; La Sorcière-Pagnol, Marcel; La gloire de mon père et Le château de ma mère Reply
ElvenRanger
I read Voltaire's <<Candide>> last semester and found it interesting. It's not too long of a read, either; what makes it difficult is the fact that old French is used in it - the dictionary won't have some of the words in that book. It's really easy to draw themes from it and reflect on them, though, which is good for P1. Blackcurrant
Le Bon Usage, by Grevisse. Fascinating for some; a guaranteed soporific for others. A win-win, all round. Reply
