Scholarships

From what I've seen, that appears to be much more common in Canada than here. I don't think I've ever seen a scholarship for specific point levels in the US - usually, you get credit for a course or, in some colleges, you can get second-year standing with a certain total of points [usually 36].

I'll let someone else explain further about Canada, but there's nothing really for the US.

Yes you can get a certain amount of entrance scholarship from some Canadian universities depending on your overall IB grades. I can confirm this from experience however I do not know about the US. Just do a google search on "scholarships + your university name" and you will usually find more information, especially for the Canadian universities since they some o them do give scholarships based on IB grades.

Here is apparently a list of schools that offer IB scholarships:

However, as a domestic applicant, I have never heard of some schools (notably McMasters, Waterloo, Toronto, McGill) offering IB scholarships although they are on the list. Most of the IB scholarships are available in Alberta and BC, but very few if not any Ontario schools offer IB exclusive scholarships to students.

That list is very old. "Albertson College of Idaho," the first US college on that list, isn't even called that anymore. In 2007 it changed its name to "The College of Idaho."

But, I suppose there probably hasn't been too many changes from the list since then... Well, if there's on you're interested in, check with them beforehand. I'm sure admissions officers would love to hear from a committed IB student anyway :)
