meowchelle
Hey guys again,I have another question to ask regarding the Psych IA. In a sample work that got high marks, the student added footnotes on the research studies he mentioned in the introduction and discussion parts. Is this necessary? I have seen other IAs that only include references to appendices in the footnotes, like refer to appendix ii for a sample of consent form etc.So is it necessary to include sources of studies in the footnotes? Will marks be deducted or overall impression be not good if I didn't add them? Thanks! Reply
The Rainbow Connection
It depends what referencing system you use. I believe APA does not require footnotes throughout the report, just at the end. But others do need it. With your referencing system just google what the appropriate footnoting style is Reply
inwonderland
If you follow APA (which is what you're recomended to follow for psych) you don't have to footnote research studies. This all goes under the section 'References' at the end of the IA. You can footnote references to appendices but its fine if you put in brackets (See Appendix II) after mentioning the consent form or sth in the actual text/ Reply
meowchelle
Thank you people!Yes I am using APA, hence I'll be putting everything at the Reference section, and only footnote the appendix stuff. Thanks for clearing up my doubts! Reply
