IB Sleep Deprived
So my orchestra went to New York City recently to play in Carnegie Hall. The trip involved lots of practice and new experiences on our part, so would this count as CAS?I feel like this could be my project - we were there for 7+ days so I'd have enough hours for it, certainly. q8adz
From what you're describing then it sounds like it would definitely count for CAS Reply
Sir Azder
This really seems very much what CAS is!! Creativity to be exact! Reply
GirlwiththeBlueBox
It depends; is your orchestra part of your school? If it's for a school class, it can't count as CAS unfortunately. Reply
mm8888
It sounds like CAS to me Reply
JoeG
If you're part of the orchestra for a class (i.e. being part of the orchestra is part of your grade) you can not count it as CAS hours, sorry. If you're doing this as an extracurricular activity/not receiving a grade, then you can go ahead and count it. Reply
ib-dying
it can't really be a project though unless it involved action or service too? Reply
