Hi everyone!

I just got given this internal a few days ago, and we have never learnt anything more than 3nd degree polynomials in class, however the only graph I can get to model the data is a polynomial to the 8th and 9th degree. Something surely can't be right... How is everyone else modelling the data?

Thanks!

The maximum I did was sixth degree, because that's the highest polynomial MS Excel (the software I've used) allowed me to make.

You won't learn everything in class. That's why we are allowed to use technology. Make a simple one like linear, quadratic or cubic analytically and make the higher degree polynomials using technology.

Which software are you using btw? 9th degree is really high..

Do not start new topics for Maths IAs, they already exist. Here's the one for the task you're doing.
