Math SL type 1 IA

Recommended Posts

Yesterday we got our type 1 IA's and the one we have is called 'circles'

I am utterly confused as to what to do...I mean, I have proved that triangle OAP' is isosceles and I want to use cosine rule, but am confused as to how I should continue :(

Can anyone help me?

Is the diagram a set of circles with a line going through as a chord on the upper most circle and then the origin of the other two circles, with the vertices of the triangle going through the origins of the circles? (or centre, I can't remember my math terminology sorry!)

If I understand correctly, yes, it is that one.. here's a link to it
