Peanut Butter Jelly
If you haven't graduated from IB yet, there is no med school. Just do your 4 years undergrad and then apply to med school. Pre-med can be any degree you want as long as you have done the requirements. 1 Reply
Summer Glau
You need to do at least 3 years of undergrad but most people do 4 so they can finish their undergrad degree. Then you go to med school for 4 years, then you do a residency for 2-5 years, depending on your specialty. Family medicine usually has the shortest residency and the more specialized you get, the longer your residency is, on average. Interviews - not required, unless you apply for music, drama, or some kind of performing art Essays - depends on the program. They may ask for your extracurricular activities. Grades only - Some universities only care about your grades (ex. McGill) but most have a supplementary application to fill out. If your grades are good enough, you may get accepted before you get around to doing the supp app But for some places it is required, regardless of how high your grades are. Work experience - not required, but it can give you something to talk about in essays and supplementary applications Reply
nonstop
Doesn't matter where you do your undergrad or even in what major. In fact, many people do an easy undergrad at some no-name university like Guelph or York and then make it to the top med schools in the country.
