portfolio for which year?

IB 2012

Recommended Posts

My teacher gave us the opportunity to do another portfolio if one of ours turns out really bad. but we don't even get a full week to do it so I was wondering if i could work a bit ahead. my question is whether if I have my exams in 2012, is it only possible to do the 2011/2012 portfolios (G-froce, China population trends, stellar numbers and that other one) or also the ones that were issued this year?

Thanks a lot!!!!

your exams are in 2012? you sure? you put the exam session as may 2013 in your profile. but anyway, if your exams are indeed in 2012, you get to do the following tasks in Maths SL:

Type 1

- Infinite Summation

- Stellar Numbers

- Lacsap's Fractions

- Circles

Type 2

- Population Trends in China

- G-Force Tolerance

- Fish Production

- Gold Medal Heights

if you want my suggestion,

DO NOT choose:

- Infinite Summation (very long, time taking)

- Fish Production (it's so damn complicated, need to be somewhat very smart in choosing the function. I don't even know any good function that can fit the data)

- Gold Medal Heights (there's no good function to fit the data)

DO choose:

- Stellar Numbers / Lacsap's Fractions

- Population Trends in China

should you need some advice in choosing the tasks, just ask.

2013rs we're basically screwed.

Why do you say that?

Just trolling around taking into account what Desy said. Fish production and Gold Medal Heights are the ones that are available to us so far and she says they're really difficult.
