Chelsea21
Help! Can someone tell me how should I study for my Math Sl exams? -> Strategies, topics, materials etc. All the past papers I have are kind of old and do not have the new non calculator paper 1 exam. Do you think some topics of the 2010 May exams; will be repeated in the 2011 May exams?THANK YOU Reply
Mahuta ♥
To be honest, math revision in my opinion is: understanding concepts, doing past papers, doing past papers then doing some more past papers. As for the exams, here are some tips.Good luck. 1 Reply
bigbangfan
I agree with Mahuta, math is all about past papers, for example the month before the exam I got all the papers ranging from 2006 to 2010 and did them all for all timezones and sessions (May & Nov). Then you use your mistakes for future papers. I finished all the papers 4 days before the math exam. then all I did was to create FLASHCARDS with tips or errors that I made frequently. good luck! Abu
Three words: Practice, practice (and guess the next one) practice.Get all the past papers in the last 10 years and go through each and every single one of them. You should have about 30 bunches of questions to choose from (two timezones in May and one in November). 1 Reply
jess1ca
I agree, practise, practise. I should practise more myself-- I've gone through about 22 exams so far. Which isn't even close to all of them. =/Also, make note of the questions you did wrong... and then in a few days, redo them! Reply
Jade D
Definitely concur with the above. Just do all the problems you can find, because then it'll help you with problem solving skills and you'll be able to use those, albeit using different numbers.
