nametaken
I ask this question because NASA have said that by 2013, massive solar flares might have wiped out space satellites and the internet.So...what would you do? Reply
Sandwich
I suppose I'd be quite happy to spend my time reading or doing exercise and things outdoors. Massive bike rides, exploring and so on. It'd actually be quite fun for a while. Then I'd probably get bored and wonder why I ever thought that the internet was an irritatingly addictive distraction Reply
tiffly101
well i think that after the BIG solar thingy we wouldn't even be able to go outside because of harmful UV radiations! and plus.... the earth is gonna BURN till death sooo theres no point in excercising!!! anyways... I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SURVIVE WITHOUT TECHNOLOGY!without it the human race will DIE die i tell you!!!! sooo i LOVE technology and absolutely can not live without it!!! Saph
I'd really like to see where you've gotten that information from!Besides that I think I'm going to do what Sandwich said: be with friends, do some more exercise in the gym - or wait would it work?? Well, jog then! - bake in a very primative way and yess, read lots of books, I love reading but have no time for it due to the time I spend playing pc games xP I'm have more or less lived my life without that much technology so I would not struggle being without it. Maybe it would be a slight relief even (:I went to the NASA's site myself and found the information! Here is a bit: http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2009/29may_noaaprediction/- I read some more, it can be precluded by shutting down stuff before the geomagnetic storm hits or w.e o.Ø Edited February 25, 2011 by Saph Reply

sarahlouise
Phew, I will have graduated by then.I would probably be able to live. I'd do more reading, productive stuff, hanging out with friends, studying/learning, and all that sort of stuff! That actually doesn't sound bad at all. Chrissytd
Read and Exercise, two things that I slacked off on since I spend most of my time using technology. Reply
xxshame
I don't think I'd be able to survive without the internet and technology.it's just such an integral part of who we are.just my opinion, anyway. Reply

dessskris
I agree with posts #9 and #10.anyway, in a world without technology, I would probably buy thousands of pens and of pieces of paper as I wouldn't be able to type my IA, HW and essays anymore. I would also start memorising the basic angle formulas in trigo as I couldn't press them in my calculator anymore.'tis very sad to live in a world without technology. can't imagine living without it. sarahlouise
Although by 'technology' this thread means the internet, not ALL types of technology, seeing as it's referring to space satellite and the internet. For example, we'd still be able to type things up and use calculators, we just couldn't be as dependent on the internet. Reply
