Alejandra Hdez
Hi there!I’m confused and desperate. Here's the thing:I have a syllabus for English A2 HL (Language A2For first examinations in 2004)… This is a little bit by for now, it’s been six years, but is the one my teacher gave me like two years ago. Now in the options for the written tasks, the creative writings, there’s the option of doing an ESSAY as part of Poetic communications. Later on this year I heard that you could no longer do an Essay for Poetic communications, is this true?... I’ve been looking for a more updated syllabus, but still nothing…Do you guys know anything about it?...Thank you! Reply
masochist
Well for the written task you need to do 2 things - one is a creative option and one is a cultural option. Approx 800 words each. Creative means fiction, generally. Writing a short story is what most people do. Cultural can mean anything from an editorial to a brochure about essentially anything, really. I find that this second task relates closely to my geography course - which is nice . I've only done one written task thus far, the second one. I'm doing a brochure to "raise awareness" about the environment in China. Reply

Our teacher gave us another document on written tasks where it says "essay is not an acceptable type of text" for the written tasks. But I guess you have already solved the situation, because the tasks should have been sent by now, right? Reply
