Afterglow
I was just wondering since I've been very unsure lately with EE deadline approaching. When you write an English academic essay, do you indent the first pargraph of your essay as well? It's a bit confusing since different languages have different rules Reply

BIO-AQUA
It's always the case, isn't it? That it's always the last minute and you think that everything is over each other! Just take it easy. It doesn't really matter whether you indent the first paragraph or not. It's a matter of practice. Some people do it while others don't. Simple! By the way, when is your internal deadline? Ours was Monday the 5th of November. Reply

It seems to be that the closer the deadline comes, the more insecure I get and the more practical small questions I have. It's rather frustrating. Our final draft deadline is this friday (16 nov) so we have had about a year now to work on it. Phew, gonna be nice to hand it in! Reply
deissi
Well, there could be a difference in indentation between American and British English... I've had American teachers, so I'm assuming that if you write American English, indentation should be correct Reply
kc4293
This is probably too late to help, but here we indent all paragraphs, including the first (here=US). Reply
Guest Mr Canada
We don't. We just press "enter" twice for a newpharagraph. Reply
Ruan Chun Xian
I think as long as you're consistent it shouldn't matter. I didn't indent. I hit enter twice for a line between paragraphs. Also you should double space your entire work as well, so that they have room to mark. Reply
