I started learning russian 3 years ago and as far as i know, i'm the only one who chose it. I've reasreached this forum a bit and as a i saw, a few schools offer it. whats the overall level of IB russian B? Reply
Sandwich
To my knowledge, all B subjects run to the same level. So Russian B ought to be rather like [language] B, if that makes any sense! You should have reasonable conversational fluency, a knowledge of all the tenses aaaand the ability to read middlingly simple things. HL requires a slightly larger vocabulary and the necessity for a longer essay than the SL does, but then you also get more lessons than the SL people, so it should even out Reply
Abu
You can look in the syllabus to get a feel of the difficulty for the subject: http://www.ibsurvival.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=113 Reply
Karl H T
Good luck, Aliis I'm in the same group, only SL though.Seems to me, like the lessons are a bit unorganized, aren't they? Reply
