Which situations do you apply each of them to when modeling graphs?Also, can we describe the sine graph as a 'polynomial'...? Thank you! deissi Posted June 9, 2009 Report Share Posted June 9, 2009 Well if you look at the function you'll notice that y keeps growing as x grows with the cubic function, but the value of y is periodic with respect to x in a sine function. What would that mean in terms of your model? I would like to emphasize that no one here should give emmiez the answer to her question; you may direct her to the answer, but not show it to her.
