Sandwich Posted July 13, 2009 Report Share Posted July 13, 2009 I think it might just be your teachers I know that sort of thing always comes up in a small way, but it's never worth more than 4 or so marks, to my recollection of past papers! We did logs for ages, but they're actually quite a small thing. You probably apply them more to other problems than to questions which are specifically about logarithms - after all, once you work out log manipulation rules properly, it's like giving marks away. But on the tests we're given there are always one log questions and one binominal theorem question (and I hate those). Also, you'll have a hard time doing "Acid and Bases" without them.
