heartworthy
I'm doing my Historical Investigation on the 2002 coup d'etat in Venezuela and main feed of sources comes from newspapers--not the most reliable. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on finding some better sources. It's hard because it's relatively recent and most sources are going to have some kind of bias. Ashika
Well, you have to evaluate your sources in this IA, so just mention its bias. Also, are you allowed to do something that recent? Or is that just the issue with EE? Reply
LinuxBeta
I'm pretty sure the 10 year cut-off still applies. Anything that recent can still be classified as current events. I could be wrong though, take a look at the syllabus for confirmation. Reply
Tarz
Yeah, that's definitely not history. Reply
Vvi
In other words, you have to pick a topic that is no more recent than 1999 if you are a May 2009 candidate, or 2000 if you are 2010. Thta 10 year cut-off point is there for a reason; you said that you have problems finding resources on it. That is often the case with recent history like the Iraq War. In addition, the effects of a recent event are difficult to analyze immediately afterwards (like the Cold War). Reply
