bayernfan
So, first term exams (halfway through the year) over and I have done pathetically. I am probably getting a 28 or 29 overall. Is there any chance of recovering from this? I know there are no excuses except my own procrastination, but I have decided to slog for the next three terms to pull up my grades? So, am I over or is it just that I can have a bad first term and still get into a good college with better grades in the other terms like my school counsellor said? stealthyfighter
You absolutely can improve. Grade 11, first IB year was so bad for me I was getting like 70s in math and not my best in other subjects either. So in the summer, I studied, and in the second year I broke most 🙈 of my bad habits, and yeah I feel more confident. You have loads of time to improve but start now. Work on your weaknesses, try to study ahead in the summer cuz grade 12 becomes a little bit easier and dont allow yourself to procrastinate. Delete all your social media or whatever hobbies distract you. You can do it! Reply

Nomenclature
Just wanted to say that a 28/29 is nothing to scoff at. Reply
kw0573
Don't think about the big picture! Keep thinking about how to do better on the next quiz, test, or assignment. Start small and building your way up. Reply
