My HL math exploration

Hey guys, I'm thinking of doing my HL math IA on modelling the annual population growth rate of Germany, I thought that would be cool since it already gives me a personal motivation (I'm German). Do you think this is a suitable topic, if so , or if not, please give suggestions. Thanks guys.

For HL IA, you need to include a solid understanding of different math topics. I am not sure what you will include because it looks to be mainly statistics.

Statistics can be good way to go but you need good amount of math since you are HL. Maybe you can try on state by state and compate their rates .

I decided to focus my IA on the Syrian migrant crisis and how that affected growth rates, incorporating several predictive models and piecewise functions on recommendation of my teacher. Thanks for all the advice though, and if anyone has any further suggestions, feel free to post them here

Welp, My teacher just decided to retract his okay for my topic arbitrarily and said that I most probably need to make a 3d model of some sort to ensure that my IA is complex enough, one week before the draft due-date. So does anyone have any ideas on how to incorporate 3d modelling into population growth rates?Also if theres any other ideas on how I could make my IA "complex enough" that would be great.
