revumol7
Hello, For My math SL IA topic I decided to find the optimal snow route in the downtown area of my small city using the chinese postman theorem. Do you guys think it is a good idea? Will it be high level enough for an IB math exploration paper? Thanks! Reply
kw0573
I think this topic allows possibility of a well-scoring exploration if you are careful and clear in your explanation. Good luck! 1 Reply
IB Math Helper
Sounds like a very practical exploration. Graph theory (or matrices) are not part of the SL curriculum. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the curriculum. Anything that is beyond the curriculum should be explained clearly to demonstrate and convey your knowledge of the subject matter. 1 Reply
revumol7
Would it be sufficient enough if I just describe the algorithm or will I have to go in depth as to how/ why it works? Reply

What you said about snow route optimization in your city sounds interesting. It doesn't have to be in depth for why the algorithm works, but some insight is much better than just plugging in a formula. 1 Reply
