avrila
In my school, we have two time table called T1 and T2. The schedule sometimes change a bit and you can get confused. So, I always need to update them. Most of us didn't memorize our schedule. We usually save it in our hand phone for easy reference. Basically class started at 8.00 a.m and end range from 11.50 a.m to 2.20 p.m. Depends on the day. T1Mon- Math HL, Chem HL, R, Stats, Mal A1 SL, Eng B SL, TOKTues- Bio HL, TOK, R, Eng B SL, Islamic Studies, Math HL, Math HL, Chem HL [2]Wed- Chem HL, Mal A1 SL, R, Eng B SL, Bio HLThurs- ITGS SL, Stats, R, Math HL, Bio HL[2]Fri- Chem HL, Bio HL, R, ITGS SL [2]T2Mon- Chem HL [2], Eng B SL, R, Stats, Bio HL [2]Tues- Mal A1 SL, Eng B SL, Bio HL, R, ITGS SL, TOK, Stats, Math HLWed- Chem HL, ITGS SL, R, Islamic Studies (not IB syllabus)Thurs- Chem HL, Bio HL, TOK, R, Math HL, Eng B SL, Mal A1 SLFri- Bio HL, Math HL, R, Chem HL, Eng B SL, Mal A1 SLIf you notice, we have stats lesson since we separate it from Pure Math. We have different teacher for both Math and Stats. I like it this way. Now I can see that how different school treat their students. Some have class till 4.30??..Glad with what I have. Chelleee
Just like many North Americans have never heard of a 2 hr break... we're accustomed to 1 hr. (I'm making a major assumption here, so correct me if I'm wrong... I've definitely only ever had 1 hr lunches during my first 13 years of schooling)I'm not even sure what I would do for 2 hrs when I was still in high school.haha, and nah we only get 15 mins extra compared to you (30 min 1st break, 45 min 2nd break) but i guess it's because of the timing of it really. but back in the good ol' days of primary we had like a 45 min morning tea and an hr lunch break or something incredibly long like that. but then again, being little kids, running around and playing tiggy seemed to take up every single lunch break and in middle it was extended to, but in australia having 2 lunch breaks with a total of a little bit over an hour is considered normal?*shrugs.EDIT: p.s- normally i only eat in 1st break or i forget and end up talking away with my non-ib friends. and at lunch i'm normally doing something school related or attempting to study...doesn't usually work but ohh well~ Edited February 21, 2009 by Chelleee Reply
