Ylvajl
URGENT! Hi! I am currently writing my IA in math studies and recently delivered my first draft to my teacher. Upon getting it back, he says it is too complicated to finish in its current condition. I am trying to investigate whether the time which it takes water to cool from 100 to 40 degrees Celcius is dependent on the diameter of the container in which it cools. I have measured the time it takes for the temperature to drop in three different pots, and I see a clear difference. But three pots is obviously not enough to draw a conclusion, which is why my teacher insists that I cannot complete my project. He says I would need at least 50 pots in order to get proper results. The issue is that this would take houndreds of hours. How many pots do you think would really be needed to get valid results? Does anyone have any ideas for changes I could make to the exploration in order to keep my current results?
