IBstruggleisreal
Please help me!!I am a senior struggling to finish my CAS requirements, and I was wondering what categories acting in a play falls under? I know it counts for creative, but I really need active and service hours, so if anybody could tell me if I can count it for either of those, that would be greatly appreciated. Sandwich
So I think this is creativity and nothing else. Unless you're performing the play to raise money or something and then there's a very distant chance that you could make it some kind of service. It's certainly not action! But we can't really tell you for sure, the person who passes judgement on an activity is your CAS Co-ordinator. Reply

Thrashmaster
I don't know... Acting in a play is exhausting. If it's a musical and you have to dance or perform impressive choreography, I think you might be able to count it as action. But if it is mostly you sitting there talking on stage, then no. 1 Reply
BrianHQ
Well, according to service what they had said, you need to give a service or raise money for a cause, ONG, etc. But, with the action thing is really simple, if you sweat is action. turtle turtle
If it involved some sort of physical exertion/movement e.g. if you were dancing, you could double dipAs for service, it's hard to count something for serice that you didn't originally do just for service. For service the easiest thing would be to go to a retirement home imo, it's easy for them to hire you and you could play an instrument or sing Reply
