taolangpo
I'm taking French B HL and our teacher wants us to choose two works in French for the Literature component. No translations into French. Can anyone recommend any books? I would really like to work with contemporary novels. I'm competent in French (6 years) and breezed through Le Petit Nicolas; Le Petit Prince was good too. What do you study for the Lit component? Ossih
Err, I'm SL but we do lit for the heck of it. We read L'Etranger! Reply
DannyRodeck
Well I'm on my second year and we read Le Petit Prince and now we are reading a shortened version of Vingt mille lieues sous le mers by Jules Verne. I've liked both! Reply
insomniac writer
My teacher decided to start doing literature in the first year. We read "Les Combustibles" by Amélie Nothomb and are currently reading in the second year "Kiffe Kiffe demain" by Faïza Guène. Both are easy to understand, but personally I thought Les Combustibles was the best, even though it's a play.
