ThePageHendrix
I'm in Pre-IB at the moment, so I'm not exactly up-to-date with IB changes.I was wondering if IB took out Language A2 and left just Language B and ab. By the time I get to IB I will have about 11 years of experience of Spanish. Is that going to make HL Spanish B really easy for me, or have they ramped up the difficulty (if they did get rid of Language A2)? Thanks Reply
dubyawhy
They replaced A2 with A1.2 which is English Language & Literature. It's essentially the same thing but maybe a bit harder. If you have 11 years of experience, take A1.2. Would you say you are business proficient/semi-fluent? ThePageHendrix
I'm assuming Spanish A1.2 is in Group 2, right? Otherwise I wouldn't be able to take it since I would be taking English A1 Lit. in group 1. And I would say I'm semi-fluent. Reply
N.H.A
you can take both English Lit, and another language Lang and Lit, that's what i did. However, if you dont need Lang and Lit, and you're fairly fluent in Spanish, just take B and make your life easier. Reply
Gaby
Language A: Language and Literature is a Group 1 course, unlike the old A2 which was Group 2. Group 2 now only consists of languages B and ab initio. Reply
