How many paragraphs do I need for my Psychology Essay?

Hello Everyone

I am struggling with my Psychology Essay.

My teacher told me that we have t have four body paragraphs.

1. introduction

2. background knowledge

3. Study

4. Study

5. Methodology/evaluation

6.Conclusion

This seems rather illogical to me, what do you thin how should I structure my essays?

Well, since your teacher is giving you your grade, and this isn't an official IB essay, I think you should just follow what your teacher says. If your teacher gives you a structure and they are the ones grading you, it might be seen as insolent if you just do it how you want.

If you still want an alternative structure, I would have thought that the background knowledge should have been part of the introduction. Also, when you write about studies, you could include the methodology and evaluation within the same or the next paragraph, instead of later, and finally the conclusion.

So:

1. Introduction with background information

2. Study 1

3. Methodology/evaluation of study 1

4. Study 2

5. Methodology/evaluation of study 2

6. Conclusion

I know that with my psych teacher I have to go with his structure, I just wanted to be prepared for the exams:))
