On-topic, this article is suitable for a microeconomics commentary if you want to do a commentary on the very basics of demand and supply. Whether or not this article is a good choice is a different question. I am not quite sure myself whether you will be able to actually write 750 words on this. You might have to be very detailed whilst explaining the workings of demand and supply in this case and the implications this has for the parties involved (the different coffee-bean producers, government, consumers, etc.).
