stariixniite
yes my friend has taken yoga classes for action or creative hours! Reply
saritaoel
i think yoga is more on the action side.but! if you need creativity hours, things like cupcake baking, decorating, helping out with activities that requires a "creative" element to it would be best. if you have a school dance or a play you can join and help out with the decorating or the set design. make sure you have someone to validate those things though because all that work won't be counted if you dont have a supervisor.good luck! Wazsupb
I think it should be counted as action, i have done yoga for action hours. Reply
1-2-3
Well one of my friends is doing it for Creativity and Action. So, I guess it is a valid activity. Why is your coordinator not allowing you to do it? Reply
Peachez
I'm pretty sure if will be considered as Action and maybe even some Creativity if you will manage to throw in something unique in there. I do yoga for Action-highly reccommended, helps with the stress!I loooove yoga! (never done it though) but it looks awesome and I cannot find a yoga club not far from my house so that I can attend the lessons without wasting too much time.. godofib
I would say it qualifies as action since you are getting some sort of physical activity from it. One of my friends at school also used it for action. Hopefully you can convince your supervisor. Edited July 21, 2009 by godofib Reply
my take on it
Yep, I'm pretty sure it's okay. My IB counselor said that it was.Have fun! Yoga is a great de-stresser and you really need it after IB. Don't worry about what anyone else might say about taking yoga - it's about concentrating on yourself and your health. You may feel a bit silly at first, but it's really great. Reply

She didn't attend any classes though. All she did was purchase one of those mats and download some beginner videos from the internet! She hasn't started with the really difficult stuff but has actually gotten pretty good. She also chooses how long she spends on it, so she doesn't waste hours at yoga club (yes, our school actually has such a thing...) KyleAdams
I haven't personally used it myself, but my sister who just finished the Diploma Program in May did use Yoga for CAS hours. They counted without question. Reply
