Hi(= I am currently applying to college, and I would like to get a good idea of what my chances are of actually getting accepted. My stats and extra-curriculars are below, so please be honest. Also, do you have any tips on how to write the personal statements? I am having a really difficult time with those.

STATS:

Indian female

IB Diploma Candidate

SAT Score: 1910

ACT Composite Score: 29

4.2 weighted GPA / 3.6 unweighted GPA

Rank: 14/350

Enrolled in Honors/AP courses throughout high school

EXTRACURRICULARS:

ASB Board Representative (act as a liaison b/t my school and my school district)

NHS (National Honor Society) President

Lead Attorney in Mock Trial for past 4 years

CSF Member

Personal english/math/homework tutor for a local 5th grade student

Founded an after-school tutoring program at a local elementary school (also a volunteer)

Volunteer at UCD Med Center

Member of my church choir

ASB Junior Class President (2012-2013)

I'm interested in doing neuroscience/pre-med in college. The colleges I'm interested in are:

UC Berkeley

UC Davis

UCLA

UC San Diego

University of San Diego

University of San Francisco

University of Chicago

University of Rochester

Columbia University

Stanford University (this is a dream school, but I'd like to know my chances)

Thanks! (=

Hello,

The chances of getting admission in Stanford is 75% approx. as your SAT scores are quite good but the main thing is that you need a minimum score of 39 in your year-2 IB examination.for applying to us colleges you need 2 letter of recommendations (LOR) and you need to write essays expressing why you want to join the college. In short a LOT of documentations are needed !!

That's why im willing to do my MBBS in an uk college as you dont need sat,act etc.. You just need to give IELTS and BMAT or UKCAT(if you are willing to pursue medicine) :D

Good luck!
