CRS_Andrew
Hey everyone, I've been struggling with some of the sequences and series work, so far the stuff I've been able to pick up how to use U1 to get U2, r (for geometric progressions) and d (for arithmetic progressions)However I don't understand how you would use other information to get U1 and thus find r/dMy example is:For a convergent geometric series U2 = 8/5 and the sum of the series = 10 Show that there are two possible series and give the first term and common ratio in each case(I realize this is in the text book, but I don't understand it, can someone please show me how I would get to an answer?)Thanks in advanceAndrew Reply
