maroctam
It really depends what your friend wants to do once he graduates. I personally take History SL, and I wish i had taken Economics SL (mainly because I hate my teacher, but i also think that it would be more interesting and more appropriate for what i want to do later)If he's worried about the difficulty, I can tell you that History is quite challenging, I don't know about Economics though... Arrowhead
Both Economics and History require the same amount of memorisation and skills. It comes down to: (a) What does your friend want to study at university? (b) How good is the teacher for History as compared to Economics? Who has the higher IB result average score and has been teaching the subject successfully for longer? © What subject interests your friend more? One subject is not objectively easier than the other.
