Guest Jar Jar D'oh!
Hey guys, my maths teacher decided to be a jerk and bombard us with really tough sums on 2 variable statistics. I have 3 Pearson problems that I can't solve, for the time being I'll just post one, we'll see how it goes from there! The formula is below: I know this isn't either of the 2 from the text book, and I wondering why, but this is the only understandable formula available online, work with me here Data: n=51 Sigma XY=2.6402 x 109 Sigma Y=2.1402 x 107 Sigma X=5719.8 Sigma X2= 1.2627 x 106 Sigma Y2= 1.0184 x 1013 Find 'r' Note the sigma value is from my GDC and out of the 3 sigma values this had the same 'E' like symbol (uppercase I believe). I really hope you can help me with this, because she wants to see working and I can't get the right value that my GDC fetches me. Reply

Guest Jar Jar D'oh!
The second poster got it right, but this is messed up, I'm telling her the values are too large to possibly calculate r with THAT formula.. Mods, please delete this topic. Cheers! Reply
