bob39
I am applying to physical science at McGill, and I have a fairly low predicted score (35 subject points or 38/45). I have read somewhere that McGill looks at ossd marks before IB marks. Would they therefore look at my top 6 average (~92%) and give me acceptance potentially based on that even if I didn't completely meet the IB requirements? More importantly, I know last year's minimum was 88%; what chances do you think I have for getting in? Reply
GeekChloe
http://www.mcgill.ca...g/standards/ib/ On here, it says you need 35 subject points for Physical Science and 5s in Math and Science with at least one 6. Even though you are at the minimum requirement, I think you should have a chance if your marks are particularly good in math and science and if your ossd marks are good as well. Good luck!! That's where I want to go too Edited February 18, 2012 by GeekChloe Reply
Summer Glau
Check this out: http://www.mcgill.ca/undergraduate-admissions/counsellors-and-advisors/ontario/international-baccalaureate They give preference to your OSSD marks over your predicted IB grades, but if your OSSD marks aren't as good then they look at your predicted grades. I think you're fine, provided that your math/science marks are good. I applied there too Reply
